Every campaign brief carries three reference clips: one approved, one fixable, one unacceptable. This is the reasoning behind the approved one.
Clip around the moment
The highlight is the part a hundred other clippers already cut. The lead-up, the reaction, and the side conversation are uncontested, and on a roleplay server they are usually funnier. A reaction beat runs ten to thirty seconds. Ten seconds of a face is worth more than forty seconds of a chase.
The four cuts
- The first second earns the second one. Open on the line, the look, or the sound that makes a viewer stay. Never open on a loading screen, a logo, or a person walking into frame.
- Cut the dead space. Every pause that is not a beat goes. If a viewer could scroll during it, they will.
- Burn in the captions. Most viewers watch without sound. Captions are part of the edit, not an afterthought, and they must be readable on a phone in daylight.
- End on the punchline. The last frame is the one people rewatch and share. Nothing after it.
The caption rule
A caption may withhold. "Wait for it" and a name left out are curiosity gaps, and they are honest. A caption may never invent. A feeling the person did not show, a quote they did not say, a result that did not happen: each one is a false claim about a real person, and on a paid clip it is the buyer's problem too.
What the platforms actually enforce
| Belief | Reality |
|---|---|
| Mirroring a clip beats duplicate detection | X, Instagram and TikTok name it insufficient, and TikTok bans tricks that bypass its systems. Originality is judged at the account level |
| A watermark from another platform is harmless | It is TikTok's own worked example of unoriginal content |
| Asking for likes is fine everywhere | YouTube allows it, Meta demotes it, X removes the post from its payout programme. One caption cannot serve all three |
| Shadowbans are a myth | The name is wrong and the thing is real. TikTok shows "not eligible for the For You feed" in Account Status |
These are verified platform statements, collected in the studio's own reference material and checked on 10 September 2026.
Judge the batch
One clip tells you nothing. Thirty clips in a format tell you whether the format works, which hooks land, and which moments the audience skips. A clipper who changes format after two flops never learns anything; a clipper who posts thirty and reads the numbers learns what to cut next.
FAQ
Do I need a big following?
No. You need a verified account, a clip that follows the brief, and the minimum views. The platform pulls the views from its own API.
Can I clip any streamer?
Only the footage the campaign's source pack covers, under the footage letter the buyer signed. A clip from outside the pack is denied with that reason.
What gets a fast ban?
Bought views or engagement, reposting another clipper's edit, and anything leaked or pre-release.
